Hello, my name is Miguel Alfonso García Escudero, and I am a psychiatrist registered in Alicante with the number 03/8073.

I graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Valencia and I trained until 2000 as a Psychiatry Specialist at the General and University Hospital of Elche.

Since then, I have developed my professional activity in the field of Public Health, where I work attached to the Psychiatry Service of the General University Hospital of Elche, in the Acute Psychiatric Hospitalisation Unit, a task that I currently share with that of being the head of the Bipolar Disorders Unit of the Elche-General Hospital Health Department.

As for my activity in private medicine, I have been working for more than 20 years in my practices in Elche, Alicante and Elda, working to improve the mental health of our patients in a multidisciplinary way. We focus on the therapeutic relationship to treat people with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and bipolar disorder among other pathologies.

I enjoy teaching. I have carried out multiple training activities aimed at training Primary Care doctors in the field of Mental Health and, in addition to training resident doctors in psychiatry and psychology at my hospital, I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Miguel Hernández University.

Since 2013, I have been coordinating the Ililcitano Psychiatry Symposium in my Department of Health, an annual training activity aimed at Mental Health professionals from all over the Valencian Community.
